The respect and dignity shown to my beloved partner after his passing was graceful, caring and with compassion. I admired their values and true care given not just to my partner, but myself. No stone was left unturned as in such a traumatic event, they were guided by our wishes. Halie and the team set a benchmark and i will always be grateful for the ease of the process and how amazingly beautiful the service was.

Halie’s depth of heart, her clarity and understanding of the issues and emotions brought to the surface by critical moments in life and death, give her a singular ability to bring consciousness and acceptance to those grieving the passing of a loved one. After witnessing two of her ceremonies and all the planning and forethought she puts into them, she is the only person I would choose to look after me at my passing.

Death is hard. Even done beautifully, consciously and acceptingly. To have the kindness, care and support of Paperbark when my beloved friend was dying in September was seamless, like the well attuned sacred village death whisperer, no jarring edges; only care, skillful guidance and full respect for our wishes. Losing a soulmate is one of the most difficult experiences one can go through, and the journey of grief can be overwhelming and daunting.

When my father passed away in January 2022 I wanted to bring his body home for a couple of days before he was cremated. Hallie facilitated the entire process seamlessly. The care and grace with which she cared for my father and our family was exceptional. She helped us at a time when we were vulnerable and grieving in a professional yet deeply kind way.
